We got up about seven am on tuesday and had a nice breakfast of Corn pancakes with jam along with coffee. The beautiful tablecloth you see was hand weaved by Julia.
After visiting with our host family and buying some of the weaving and knitting they had made, we made our way with our gear up to the main plaza and relaxed for a while to wait for the Festival de la Virgen de Candelaria festivities to start.

The day was beautiful and warm with white puffy clouds above. We left about noon and headed with several other groups of tourists up to the high pont of the island which is this archway leading down 533 steps to the main harbor where the boats await. We have been very lucky with the weather so far considering it is the rainy season.
